Celje New Passenger Center, a project by the Croatian studio ARGU, is an example of thoughtful urban development located just about a hundred kilometres from Zagreb. Music Hour is a new Urania series designed to bring music closer to audiences. Through listening sessions and workshops, we guide you across different musical eras, styles, instruments, and contemporary artistic practices. Urania - space of creation, is envisioned as a home for one’s creative expression, especially for the one who questions oneself, society, and the world.
As a space of creation, it considers all of the fields of art and the people who practice it whether they to accomplished or they still have to be so, the ones who are socially aware and the one’s developing audience awareness through education and the exchange of experience.
Urania is an area of open and constant exchange of information, knowledge, and ideas in the field of culture, art, architecture, design, and all creative practice.
With its program approach, there is a big emphasis on promoting excellence in all areas of human impact, accessibility, and demystification of art and culture, pushing the artificial boundaries which stand in-between experts and the public.
The core value of Urania is making a stronger community through integrating a whole variety of creative practice, a co-working of experts and the public, therefore creating a space for new values. Urania becomes a space for creation.
The space of creation is led by the association Urania, which was founded to achieve a high quality of life in society through direct and indirect effects created by solving various tasks in culture and all creative professions.
The Association promotes audiovisual, technical, and other areas of human creative activity. Urania promotes international cultural collaboration and dialog and with its values perpetuates the values and foundations of its founder, 3LHD is a collaborative architectural studio.
3LHD is an interdisciplinary architect studio interested in integrating various disciplines: architecture, urban and landscape, design, and art. Founded on the exchange of thought between diverse skill full professionals, experts in different fields. In such a collaboration, the aim is to produce the best quality product. In this way, the most appropriate concepts are being explored and new values introduced, values which are fused into the modernity of the 21’s Century. The result is a series of projects in Croatia and internationally in the past 30 years.
By converting the building of the former Urania cinema in Zagreb, where they located their offices, the founders and partners in 3LHD decided to go a step further - part of the space gets a public function with a clear emphasis on inclusion and activation at the micro-level of the neighborhood and on the macro-level of Croatian society through artistic and educational programs.
By interacting and connecting and encouraging education, communication, and innovation as fundamental principles in the process of creative creation, as well as encouraging interdisciplinary work and cooperation with related activities, the development of culture and artistic creation is achieved, connecting the community and activating social change.
