Join us for the next edition of Sustainable Hour, focusing on a key topic for the future of urban spaces – Urban Gardens. In collaboration with Lucas Werft, the owner of the award-winning studio Werft Gardens & Landscapes, we will explore how urban gardens can transform our cities into more sustainable and enjoyable places to live.

Lucas Werft, a renowned expert in landscape architecture with extensive experience in designing and implementing urban green spaces, will share his knowledge and best practices in this field. Discover how his projects combine aesthetics and ecological sustainability, and how the design of urban gardens can improve quality of life, reduce carbon emissions, and create new spaces for socializing, education, and recreation.

The lecture will cover the following topics:

  • The Role of Urban Gardens in Modern Cities – How green spaces in urban environments can positively impact human health, reduce pollution, and improve the local climate.
  • Sustainable Landscape Architecture – Best practices in designing and maintaining urban gardens that meet the needs of modern cities while adhering to principles of sustainability and environmental responsibility.
  • Examples of Successful Urban Gardens – We will introduce you to projects led by Lucas Werft and discuss their long-term impact on society and the environment.
  • Fighting Climate Change – How urban gardens can help mitigate the effects of climate change, reduce CO2 emissions, and contribute to creating sustainable urban communities.
